We look forward to being your first choice for pond plants and water garden supplies.

These plants are essential in creating a well balanced ecosystem in your water garden. It is recommended to have one third to one half of the surface area covered with plants during the heat of the summer.
Choosing pond plants from each of the four groups of plants will help create a balanced ecosystem in your pond.

Floating pond plants are prolific growers and will spread across the waters' surface providing shade and coverage for the water gardens inhabitants. Floating plants are excellent for filtration because their roots absorb nutrients from the water that might otherwise cause algae. The roots of the floating plants provide spawning places for fish and create a hiding place for baby fish.

Submerged plants are often referred to as oxygenating plants. These plants receive nutrients from the water and help keep water clear. Use one bunch for every 2 to 4 square feet of surface area.

HARDY LILIES & TROPICAL LILIES - We offer a large selection of hardy and tropical lilies for your pond. Your water garden isn't complete without a waterlily. Water Lilies are available in a variety of colors and sizes. The lily pads provide shade and protection for your water garden inhabitants. The waterlily plant, once established in your water garden will reward you with many flowers throughout the summer months. Hardy lilies will bloom continuously May thru September. They overwinter well and the water lily will return in the spring once again rewarding you with a lovely pond plant. Tropical Lilies are spectacular aquatic plants that make a magnificent centerpiece for your water garden. Hardy water lilies have very beautiful flowers, but the tropical lily with its larger, flashier and very fragrant flowers are the ones that command the most attention. Flowers of the tropical lily rise several inches out of the water and are more prolific and fragrant than hardy lilies.

BOG PLANTS, LOTUS AND MARGINAL PLANTS - Hardy bog plants and tropical marginal plants accent the water garden by adding shape and color to the water garden. Adding bog plants or marginal plants along the edge of the water garden, stream bed or waterfall will give your pond a more natural appearance. Many of the tropical bog plants will winter over as house plants. Lotus are a beautiful addition to your water garden. Lotus are hardy perennials and will reward you with exotic flowers year after year.  Lotus are well suited for patio container gardening also.
