The leaves of this semi-submerged pond plant will grow up out of the water. Rotala is a very good grower and can grow as a submerged/oxygenating or as an emergent bog plant (rooted in shallow water and having most of its vegetative growth above water).
Rotala originates from south-east Asia, where it is found growing in the wet soil in rice paddies. It is a fast growing pond plant that competes with algae for nutrients, helping keep the water clean and clear. Illegal to ship to Louisiana.
Sold as multiple cuttings bunched together with a rubber band.
